Meet Eugene Jerome and his family, fighting the hard times and sometimes each other – with laughter, tears and love. But as World War II looms ever close, Eugene sees his own innocence slipping away as the first important era of his life ends and a new one begins.

Bridge Drama present '2 One Act Plays,'

Offering a blend of both comedy and drama

Wexford Arts Centre

October 30th - 3rd November

'When I Snap My Fingers,' by Bruce Adams, Directed by Denise Leahy

Simon and Maria Moffat agree to undergo hypnosis as part of Sven Gali's act however, unbeknown to the couple, the act is interrupted before Sven removes the effect of certain trigger words.  The following day Simon invites his boss Dan and his wife Dolly round for dinner in the hope of salvaging his floundering accountancy career.  With Simon and Maria still susceptible to key words, some odd behaviour in the presence of their guests could threaten to make Simon's future even more vulnerable!

'After the Picnic,' by David Foxton, Directed by Jacqui Whelan

On a cloudless Valentine's day in the year nineteen hundred, staff at the Appleyard College for Young Ladies agree it is just right for a picnic.  A small party of school girls set out for a local beauty spot Hanging Rock, some never return.
